the entry room, garden-facing, all wellness inclusions
The Grand Deluxe bedroom comes with a pillow-top super king-sized bed framed by a magnificent royal headboard and hand-carved wood finishing. Along the walls and on the ceiling are fragrant wood panelling, a beautiful contrast against the floor’s cool grey stones.
In the bathroom, the vanity is sultry green marble, an exotic edge against the darker tones of the black stone bathtub. Guests can soak in a fragrant bath while overlooking the lush garden beyond. A rainfall shower, a giant ottoman and geometric light fixtures complete the space while an outdoor terrace provides the perfect nook for nighttime relaxation or early morning contemplation.
Ornaments and carvings used throughout the room were handmade by local Balinese craftsmen from the village of Mas, here in Ubud. All four grand deluxe buildings were named after local Balinese herbs renowned for their healing and balancing properties:
Piduh – also known as Centella Asiatica, a perennial herb with various medical benefits; Teleng – also known as Clitoria ternatea, a plant used in Ayurvedic medicine to improve mental health; Lempuyang – also known as Zingiber zerumbet (L) Smith, a traditional medicinal plant to treat various ailments; and Kenanga or Cananga odorata, named after a plant that helps treat depression, high blood pressure, and anxiety.
